    computer update

The news are not good. It looks like there was a problem with the hardware, so all the information is sitting on the hard drive but looks like there's no way to access it. There are places where they specialize in data recovery but it can cost up to 2600 dollars!!! I don't think it's something I want to do, although there's still the possibility it may be covered under our homeowners insurance, so I'll call the insurance company tomorrow and see if the can help. I don't want to loose all the pictures I had not backed up. Today I have a borrowed computer until we go buy a new one and I've been downloading the pictures from the website to back them up, but they are all low quality, I am so sad...

But, on a happier note, today I had coffee with the lovely lady who bought three of my boxes from Cafe Mia, we had a wonderful time. Thanks JE.

I hope all is resolved soon. Geesh I just hate when that happens, but if you can look beyond for a moment..a new system will be a lot of fun!

oh gee, Rosa. I'm so sorry. I just went through that a couple of months ago. All my data gone, too. And the local newspaper just asked about some high-res pics for a story about found art, and all I could say was: Sorry, my computer crashed...

ahhrg, it's not fair, is it...
good luck with finding a new one. is it going to be a mac to match your iPod? :o)
