Blue bird on my desk

DSC03279.JPG

There is a family of blue birds that live in the forest across the street from my house and it warms my heart every time I hear them and see them flying around. Welcome little guys! my daughter made a bird feeder with a cardboard tube and we put it up in one of our trees in the front yard, all the birdseed was gone just a few hours later!

I started this painting yesterday, it's pastel crayons and water in gesso prepared cardboard. I still want to add black india ink and just a few more details. it's still a work in progress on my desk.

Wow, beautiful bird. I love seeing artist work places and work in progress, it is sometimes so much more inspiring than seeing what is finished and completed. And artistic messes I adore, though you have a neat table here!

Take care Rosa!

I agree with iHanna - it's really interesting to see works in progress and to see how an artist achieved the finished result. I look forward to seeing the finished piece.
