Goccolicious
Do you ever visit Loobylu? She is a blogger/artist living in Australia, I love her work and drawings. She can make almost anything. She took a break from blogging but recently came back. Lately, she's been doing Gocco prints, and I had never ever in my life seen one of these printing things until I saw it in her blog. If you've never seen one of these, it's like a screen printing thing for paper and it looks relatively easy to use. I've been doing some googlin' and it looks really fun. Has anyone ever used one of these? They don't have it in any craft stores I have around here, I found a seller in etsy, he's in Japan, a little far away from me and this Gocco thing is no cheap gadget.
I've been thinking of all the wonderful things I could do with this thing, but then, what would I do with them? I need to sell more! Note to self: Update etsy!
Have you used one of these? Is it really as easy as it looks?
In other news.. I've been hanging my paintings up around my house because, as one of my friends pointed out last weekend, my walls were all empty! She even joked about buying me one of my own paintings! (haha, as in not so funny ha ha.) so anyway, I thought about hanging up some of the paintings I've finished. I love to arrange them in little clusters, since almost all my works are small, they tend to need each other to fight all that white space on the walls. I'll update you with more newly made painting clusters as soon as I have more pictures.
Thanks Judith for that link! It was VERY informative, Liz's page has this link which is pure gold, as we say in spanish, I'm so smitten with this... I think I may just have to get me a gocco.
And Kathy, it's supposed to be so easy, I read somewhere that almost every house in Japan has a gocco!!!

It's popularity really exploded after it was announced that they were going to discontinue it (which I think is the reason it is more rare to find) but now I see them being sold in such places as the Paper Source and Pearl art supply occasionally, so I wonder if they have reversed their decision. It's interesting that you say that almost every home in japan has a gocco because then I wonder why they would have ever decided to stop making them.
