some updates

This morning at 1 am I finished reading the last Harry Potter book. I am so sad there will be no more. (I loved the ending) I still don't know why I got so drawn into them. When I was small of course I loved to fantasize about magic, dragons wizards, etc. So to read a book so beautifully written, I was immediately drawn into it. Like a pensieve, I got thrown in head first. (If you don't know what a pensieve is, you would have to read the books) I won't go as far as dressing as a witch, or carrying around a little wand. I think there's a line there somewhere between enjoying reading fantasy and actually living it. Like those Star Trek conventions... I love star trek though, but those conventions are scary.

Other things going on around here...

1. My mom is visiting from Mexico! My studio has been taken over by her and my daughter because there is nothing in the world they enjoy so much as painting together. Except maybe eat chocolate ice cream afterwards. My mom is making a painting for us. I still don't know what it'll look like because it changes everyday.

2. I am looking for Harry Potter book 1, I know it's there somewhere but I can't find it and I thought it would be nice to read it again, since I've been thinking about circles it will be a good way to close this one.

3. Thinking how make it up to Found Art Tuesday, since it was postponed to next Tuesday it has to be something really fun! (The topic is CIRCLE.)

4.  Paintings at Cafe Mia are slowly but steadily selling! I am happy and sad. I will be sad to see them go. I had even thought of why I am selling them. But then I think of the ones that have been sold and how I had continued to paint more and thought that maybe selling them has helped me paint new ones and explore as I go. Otherwise I would've have stopped painting long ago since I would have no room left to hang them.

El cambio de fecha para Circle me vino bien, tengo la idea y estaba algo armado, pero esta semana fue una locura. Asi que el espero terminarlo este fin de semana. Que la pases lindo!!

Congrats on your show. Mine was not successful but then the others artists participating had a bad day too. But it was an experience none the less and I had a good time. I finished HP today. What a great book and wonderful ending. Like our found art topic for this week. Harry came full circle.
