Found Art Tuesday Topic April 17, 2007: TRAVEL

First of all, I need to say something: WOW!!! Thanks soooo much you guys for all the comments! I was so happy to see some new faces too! did I really needed to coax you out of lurkerdom with the promise of a prize?!! well, I'm glad I did because I'm so happy to have met and visited your blogs. See people.. CONNECTIONS!! Connecting with each other that's what last week was all about, the idea that Melba at CaC  has made so tangible, they are planning on meeting in real life, as in get to see each other's faces, hear each other's voices and as far as I know, there's a pajama party being planned at Tanaya's room with a pillow fight and everything. I wish I could go... I really wish I could.

So this week's topic is Travel. Did you go anywhere for Spring break? Are you planning a trip over the summer? where would you like to go if you had the time and money to do it? what does traveling make you feel? do you worry about the water not being good? how do you react in a different environment and different language? do you embrace it? feel excited but fearful at the same time? I once went to Greece and let me say it had cultural shock written all over.

No comments?! Jeez-Louise, you mean they only comment if you offer them a PRIZE?! ;) I'm on Spring break this week...but I had an unexpected week off last week for bereavement leave. I could have never guessed that I'd be spending last week on a road trip with some family members that would take us through four states. It was sad and wonderful all rolled into one. The best nature moments were in Navajo Canyon on Lake Powell...it was easy to transport oneself back centuries to see how stunning the land must have seemed to the native peoples.
