Topic for Found Art Tuesday Nov 13, 2007: VOICE

DSC02559.JPGI've kind of lost my voice a little the last couple of days because of a cold that was not so bad but suddenly decided to just get worse. And you know how you miss something when you've lost it, right? But what do you do when you have two kids and your two year old is climbing on top the coffee table that has a glass top and you wish you could stop it somehow but you are about 15 feet away and anything can happen in that split second you are running to get him down! and you can't  yell THAT TABLE IS NOT A TRAMPOLINE! And I know that yelling won't stop him or make him realise.. "Oh yeah, I shouldn't be jumping on a glass coffee table..what was I thinking???". The yelling will only distract him long enough and maybe make him turn around and give me that look, the one he gives me when he's thinking, "Mom, I can't climb this thing with you yelling like that, it's embarrassing"  And that's when you snatch him and make him climb down again.. but if you've got no voice, you just got to be more agile and constantly vigilant!

Thank God nothing happened, the table did not break even though he was JUMPING ON IT!  So for next week, I'll think about VOICE, hoping it comes back again and also think of the inner one, maybe the ones I hear on my head (kidding!) It'll be interesting... And also I'll be looking for a new coffee table.

Have a great weekend!
