Would you like a spoon with that?

DSC02023.JPG

Today I decided to go leave my found art piece to my local "Gen Y" HQ otherwise known as Davidson College. Since it seemed I need a badge of some kind to actually enter the college's cafeteria, I decided to go across the street where there's a little coffee shop I had never seen, Summit Coffee is a charming little place in what I guess used to be a townhouse. They have lots of different drinks, and I made the huge mistake to order one of those Rocky-Mountain Turtle-Caramel specialty coffee with whipped cream on top. It sounded good when I ordered it but I forget it's the kind of drink you need to eat with a spoon. I think they have only one ounce of coffee in them. So it's the kind of thing you have for dessert, not with an empty stomach. ugh.DSC02022.JPG I liked the place and there where lots of people coming in and out. Not so many students but I imagine they were all attending class, right? (besides, why would they come here to get a $4.50 coffee when they can probably get a 25 cents cup in the cafeteria, at least that's how much a cup of coffee was when I was in college... not so long ago, by the way)

I left fame in the table before I left. I'm sure someone sat down after me right away beacuse there were so many people standing around waiting for tables. the thing is... did they take it? I've seen people uninterested on stuff they find just lying around. Do they not see it? Aren't they intrigued? Children would take stuff like that in a second.

Go visit Kathy LaRocco's blog, she made another take on this subject, one that has to do with the 15 minutes we all want. 15 minutes
