What is "Fame" anyway? Topic for next Found Art!
Friday, January 12, 2007 at 02:30PM I was at the supermarket the other day and I saw this story in the USA Today, about how "Generation Y" (18-25 year olds) had defined themselves as a generation that seek fame and wealth as their goals in life, (unlike Gen X's like me who really had no idea what they wanted, I guess). Yes baby they want to be on TV and have money to spend. It's all over MTV with their reality shows and bling-bling videos. What happened to good old fashioned 80's music? (I sound like my Mom already) I could go on and on about the You Tube phenomenon and MySpace weird world, but I'll let you go and read the article instead (look at the graph about what this generation is interested in and only 10% of them are concerned with their spiritual side 10%!!!!!!!)
Well, I thought this might be a good topic for next week's Found Art Tuesday: FAME, maybe a look at what fame can do to you, or maybe there's a good side of being famous and having the illusion that people love you? I remember I wanted to be famous too when I was a kid and sang and danced in my living room, but that's not something I brought with me through my 20's!
By the way, thanks for all the love you have left in the comments! I feel all warm and fuzzy!
