My trip to Soriana
Soriana is one of the biggest supermarkets chains here in Monterrey. I had forgotten how good it is to go there. Here's why...
Tunas, not the fish, I think they're called prickly pears. The fruit of the Nopal cactus, they're really sweet and juicy.
Poblano peppers... there were two aisles full of chilli peppers. We use them in almost everything we eat! I used to think it was no big deal to eat chilli peppers and then I learned Mexico is the only country in Latin America where we eat chillies.
This is milk seasoned with chipotle chilli peppers!
This bread is called "ears" (orejas)
