Deanna Wood (this is an image of one of her paintings) is an encaustic artist living in Texas, she is really talented and holds a MFA. She had the great idea of writing a blog while she's struggling to make a career in the art business, let me tell you it's a brilliant blog! she has a lot of experience working as an artist and in galleries so she writes a lot on how to approach galleries, art dealers and even plan your own exhibits. She shares the brochures she's done to send out, and also her process with encaustics (which has prickled my curiosity on this medium again) there's also other info on how to actually hang your paintings in a gallery and even how to handle rejection of your work. You will find a lot of useful information on her blog Go visit her and shorten your learning curve.
