What do you mean you don't have space for me?
Friday, October 13, 2006 at 05:20PM So, today I went to pick up a folder with images of my material to this gallery. I had submitted it for their review as they have their review for new artists in September. As they handed me the folder and say "Thank-you" I asked them if that meant that they were not interested, and the very nice Lady there told me my work was wonderful, they loved it and wished my success but unfortunately they didn't have any space in the walls to display my work.
So I wonder, is this true? do they really think I'm good but have no space for me? why not just say that my work didn't go with the kind of artists they represent. I would've bought that one more easily. I guess it's something I would've said myself, sometimes I find it's hard to tell someone to their face you don't like what they do, unless of course you're Simon from American Idol.
Anyway, I still have a long list of galleries here in Charlotte I want to go and talk to. Wish me luck!
